Welcome

This website has been constructed as a reference point for researchers of Blackadder Family history. Our aims are to have all information centralized so persons who believe they may have some connection to Blackadder genealogy can gain access to information provided by other researchers throughout the world. The main research area is Scotland and England. However, various branches emigrated to Spain, North America, Australia and New Zealand and researchers are active in all those countries as well. We welcome the interest of Members and Visitors and hope you may find some information here which will help with your genealogy research.


The Database

The database can be reached by using the Genealogy button on the menu. You will be asked to register to obtain access. Registration is free and once registered, you may return as often as you like without having to re-register. You can search globally by using the Search Box at the top of the Database page. Simply enter a name or place and a search will list the information found and display Charts too if required. You will not be able to change any of the information displayed. If you feel the information you find is incorrect, please discuss the matter with the Webmaster using the email link below. If you have any problems in using the website or database please contact the Webmaster and report the problem. We will contact you and help you resolve the issue as soon as possible. Thank you.


Contributing Information

You may contribute a Gedcom of your personal database for inclusion on this website. You will not be able to amend the data once online but you can submit amended Gedcoms at any time to replace the existing data. All Gedcoms should be referred to the Administrator by email who will do the install or replacement for you. We will not alter your work in any way, but we may ask you to make changes if modifications are needed to fit the database. Unfortunately, not all genealogy software is the same in format. We also ask that the information provided is accurate and can be supported by a reference record (ie. OPR, BDM, IGI etc). If you have any questions relating to the submission of material, please contact the Webmaster by email and we will respond as soon as possible.
